Overview
Our Health and Social Care courses provide learners with the knowledge and skills that prepare them to work in various settings, whether they are progressing or transitioning into a health and social care career.
We offer three (3) Health and Social Care courses:
- • Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings
- • Level 2 Diploma in Care
- • Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
In addition, our qualifications are also perfect for employers who want to train and upskill their employees, which in turn will also support business growth and team motivation.
Entry Requirements
- • Adults (aged 19 and above)
- • Have the legal right to live and work in the UK
Before starting, you will need to complete
- • An Initial Assessment to assess your skill level
- • An Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) session with us
Progression
By achieving these qualifications, you may be able to progress:
- • To the next level of this programme (e.g. from Level 1 to Level 2 or from Level 2 to Level 3 )
- • To another course
- • To employment (dependent on prior qualifications and experience)
- • Or to other vocational career paths, such as apprenticeships or volunteering opportunities (also depending on your qualifications and experience)
At the end of the course, you will have increased your confidence, motivation and the skills you need to be a valuable member within your community, in the workplace and/or in any further learning.

Qualifications & course requirements (prior to starting)
- • Have achieved an Entry Level 3 qualification
In this course, you will learn to:
- • Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- • Understand the principles and values in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- • Be aware of protection and safeguarding in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- • Be aware of health and safety in health and social car eand children’s and young people’s settings
- • Understand communication in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
- • Be aware of equality and inclusion in health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings
- • Be aware of person-centred support in health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings
Qualifications you will receive upon completion:
- • NCFE CACHE Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings

6 Months Duration

9.30am-3.30pm Daytime study

Qualifications & course requirements (prior to starting)
- • Work 1 to 2 days per week for the duration of the course (for your work experience) and at the end, you will have to achieve 250 hours of work
- • Have achieved the Functional Skills Maths and English Level 1 qualifications
In this course, you will learn:
- • Communication in care settings
- • How to handle information in care settings
- • Personal development in care settings
- • How to implement person-centred approaches in care settings
- • Equality and inclusion in care settings
- • Health, safety and well-being in care settings
- • Responsibilities of a care worker
- • Duty of care
- • Safeguarding and protection in care settings
Qualifications you will receive upon completion:
- • NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Care
Progression
By achieving this qualification, you may be able to progress:

Qualifications & course requirements (prior to starting)
- • Work 1 day per week for the duration of the course (for your work experience)
- • Have achieved the Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2 qualifications
- • Or have achieved 4 GCSEs at Grade A*- C, including English and Maths or a Level 2 Diploma in a Business Administration related discipline with a Merit or Distinction
- • Have passed a Level 1 in ICT
In this course, you will learn:
