Learner Testimonials
“The Skills Bootcamp was a game-changer for me. It provided structured training aligned with Care Certificate standards, which helped me understand the fundamentals of working in a care setting. The three-day hands-on experience was particularly valuable, as it gave me real-world exposure and helped me feel more confident in applying my skills. On top of that, the employability support including CV writing, job application guidance, and interview preparation gave me the tools to successfully secure a job.”
– Kamilo A.
“Before joining the Skills Bootcamp, I struggled to find a job in the care sector because I had no formal qualifications or experience. Every job I applied for required some level of training or hands-on experience, which made it really difficult for me to get started.
Now, I have secured a job as a Care Assistant with Connifers Care, earning £13.15 per hour on a 28-hour contract. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to start a career in care!”
– Fatuma M.
EMPLOYER BENEFITS
Skills Bootcamp can help employers find new and diverse talent that will help them futureproof their business, saving on costs when compared to other traditional recruitment routes.
Our programmes aim to fill gaps in Early Years and Health and Social Care skills shortages and support employers in recruiting new staff and/or upskilling existing employees.
These programmes are co-designed with employers to directly address their needs and key challenges with specific job roles. This is reflected in our course design throughout the Skills Bootcamps training.
Employer Testimonial
“At Hilton Lodge, I have seen first-hand how investing in adult learning can transform lives and strengthen the care sector. As someone passionate about workforce development, I’ve worked closely with training providers to recruit learners who have completed the Diploma in Adult Care Level 3, Level 2 and 3 Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, and the Skills Bootcamp in Health and Social Care.
These programmes give learners a strong foundation, I am proud that we offer them real opportunities to grow and apply their knowledge in a supportive, professional environment. Many of our recruits are people returning to work after long breaks or changing careers. By offering roles at the London Living Wage and providing in-role support, we help them build confidence and a future in care.
I have watched learners thrive taking on responsibilities, progressing into senior roles, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Our commitment to training and inclusion not only supports individuals but also benefits the wider community through better service and continuity of care.
I am proud of the role Hilton Lodge plays in building an inclusive, skilled care workforce in London. We will continue to champion learning, opportunity, and meaningful employment across our growing service.”
