Salary £25,000 – £28,000.p/a (Depending on Experience and Qualification)
This is an outward-facing role for developing partnerships with local businesses, community/3rd sector groups, Housing Associations, Local Authorities and DWP to shape the design of adult employment skills and to engage employed and unemployed adults in learning. The post holder will be responsible for identifying and growing existing and new business opportunities for adult learning, Employability and Community provision which will increase learner numbers.
As Engagement Officer for the community services we offer, you will be expected to promote community engagement and increase referrals into the programmes and build long-lasting relationships with varied stakeholders. This will involve being responsible for developing and maintaining strong, positive, and long-lasting relationships with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
To support unemployed 18+ adult people with the right to work, some of whom have complex needs, through training and employability by providing information, advice and guidance on learning and work to adults
To engage with clients on a one to one or group basis and register clients onto the employment programmes.
To support and work closely to encourage co-operative working with other professionals from a range of support agencies such as DWP, Local Authority Employment Team, community groups etc to engage disadvantaged BAME into learning, training and employment.
To promote the services MISDC provides within local communities and employers.
To understand the specific eligibility criteria of multiple projects.
Keep accurate client files and records and produce output evidence stencils for the compilation of monitoring returns for our Funders
The post holder will be expected to keep up-to-date and accurate records on the Organisations Management Systems of all engagements. Have proven administrative and customer service experience, the ideal candidate will possess effective communication and strong organisational skills teamed with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work efficiently. Experience of working in an educational setting would be advantageous
