The Level 1 Award in Health and Social Care qualification is suitable for learners who wish to work, in the health and social care sector.

What you will need to get started...

You will already have achieved an Entry Level 3 qualification. You must have completed an initial assessment and IAG with us.

Qualifications you will receive upon completion...

You will have attained an accredited qualification and can progress on to the next level. You will have the ability to apply the knowledge gained from the course to the world of work.

What you will study...

  • The different service provisions and roles within health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare.
  • The principles and values in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare.
  • Awareness of protection and safeguarding in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare.
  • Plus specific optional units relating to the job role.
Progression

The qualifications do not qualify the learner to work; however, they do provide a starting point to decide whether a career in health, for social care, early years or childcare settings is right for them.
